Week 12 Injury Report

The Bears don't really have a lot of surprises on their injury report this week. The headliner of course is Jay Cutler missing his first game of the year (and only second as a Bear) with his broken thumb, but a new addition this week is Brandon Meriweather with a concussion, and Devin Hester's also been re-added to the report with a shin injury. Both are expected to play as Probable.

On the Raider's side of the ledger, it reads something more like a "who's who" of the team. Darrius Heyward-Bey is questionable with a neck injury, running back Darren McFadden is out with a foot injury, Michael Huff is questionable with an ankle injury, Richard Seymour is questionable with a knee injury, et cetera, et cetera. If I keep going, you won't have to click past the jump, which kind of defeats the purpose, so if you want the rest of the injury report, either click me (two parts) or hit the jump.

Star-divide

Chicago Bears

Out: QB Jay Cutler (Thumb; DNP)

Doubtful: CB DJ Moore (Ankle; DNP)

Probable: S Brandon Meriweather (Concussion, FP); WR Devin Hester (Shin, DNP)

Oakland Raiders

Questionable: WR Darrius Heyward-Bey (Neck, LP); DE Lamarr Houston (Knee, LP); FS Michael Huff (Ankle, LP); CB Chris Johnson (Hamstring, Groin, DNP); SS Mike Mitchell (Ankle, LP); WR Denarius Moore (Foot, LP); DT Richard Seymour (Knee, LP); FB Manase Tonga (Knee, LP)

Remember when...

we didn’t have video games to give us the answers to all of our questions. We had Jean Dixon and some crazy Catholic nuns and Uri Gellar! I’m not exactly sure how the Raiders score more than 16 points missing half their offense. I expect a FG to decide this game, given the missing offensive pieces on both sides and the two solid kickers. Hopefully Hanie can take advantage of a depleted secondary.

"Tight ends are blockers only."

Says Rod Marinelli, after practicing against Mike Martz’s offense.
