Some good news from the Bears camp yesterday -- QB Jay Cutler will have the pins removed from his surgically-repaired throwing hand today, and is free to start practicing whenever he likes. With the Bears playoffs hopes now mathematically eliminated, there won't be any need to rush Cutler back into duty, especially when head coach Lovie Smith wants to see a bit more of Josh McCown.
"We want to see (McCown) have an opportunity to come back and play again this coming week," Smith said. "You normally can find a spot for a player that played the way he played last night."
It's good to see Cutler coming along, and will be a breath of fresh air to see him throwing the football again come training camp.
