Just heard this on ESPN so I don't have a link, just the story. It is being reported that the Cubs may waive Jeff Samardzija. What are the chances that the (potentially) best wide receiver in the city of Chicago finally plays the sport he was intended to play? And what better career move than do go just a few miles to the south and start over fresh? The guy was highly rated as a receiver coming out of Notre Dame. This is all speculation as he is still officially a Cub and is years removed from playing football. ESPN's will be asking him if he made the right choice. I'm looking forward to his answer. He may still choose to continue pitching. But I thought it was interesting enough to bring it up here and get your thoughts.
