Poll of the Day: Do you enjoy the NFL Combine?

The NFL Combine gets underway today and will run through the weekend.  The NFL Network will have wall to wall coverage of the event.  While I think some of the times and measurements are a bit overrated, I feel the positional drills are very important.  Competing with the other top prospects can really bring out your best.   I'll be watching as much of the Combine as I can.

Well, it's no Texas vs The Nation,

but I’m sure there will be some decent players that show up there.

That is a big time All Star game

The Bears love to scout that one

Its fun

I don’t how amazing it is or anything, but its fun to see fast guys compete for speed, jumpy guys compete for best hops, and watch receivers catch balls…Its football-like activities in Feb-March, so it makes me happy. I’ll watch some but not much.

Meh

As a sort of skills competition, it’s mildly interesting, but I’d still rather watch an NBA game. Very rarely does anyone make plays in the combine and go on to fulfill their potential. The real surprises come when the players actually play in NFL games and we can see exactly how good they are.

The players have spent 2 months working on the measurables at some sports training facility.

After the combine they go back to their fast food diets and late night clubbing. All that comes of it is that several will move up in the draft and eventually become busts. All I care about is, is he a baller?

or some will realize that as a pro athlete

their full time job is to be in great football shape
