NFL players will take different approaches to dealing with the current labor dispute and uncertainty of the 2011 season, and leave it to Bengals WR Chad Ochocinco to take an unorthodox approach.  He is using the lockout as an opportunity to try out for the Major League Soccer team Sporting Kansas City.

Ochocinco is fast, that's not debatable. But on Wednesday he was betrayed by a rough first touch and seemed unsure of how to use his feet (not for kicking, but for placement when controlling and positioning his body). Which just so happen to be the two skills that separate football players and futbol players.

Apparently, Ochocinco played soccer for years, and well into high school.  Despite the reporter's critique, you've got to admit that Chad does look like he knows what he's doing out there.

We know that Jay Cutler is doing charity work, but haven't really heard about any other Bears players in recent weeks.  We'll see if we can do some digging around and find out what sort of offseason activities they might have planned.
