WCG Staff Mock Draft - Round 1, Pick 15

Just to catch everyone up, we at Windy City Gridiron are doing a full first round mock draft.  We have an incredibly talented staff of writers and we're giving our take on the 1st round.  I'm next up with the pick for the 'Fins, and if I could trade down I would.  This is too early to take a RB or a QB, and they could trade down a few spots and get an offensive lineman.  They also have no 2nd round pick so they'll want to find a way to stockpile some choices, but since I have to make a choice....

With the 15th pick in the Windy City Gridiron Staff Mock Draft the Miami Dolphins select...

Mike Pouncey, C/G, Florida - If you're gonna reach for a player, it might as well be the top guy at his position.  Pouncey is the top rated interior lineman in the draft and with the way the Dolphins like to run the ball, he'll fit right in.  Pouncey had a rough start to his Florida season at center, which has many scouts thinking his future home in the NFL is at guard, but as his season progressed so did his skills at center.  He has the strength and technique to start in the interior of the line as a rookie for Miami.  The draft has a number of value picks at running back that will be available on the 2nd day that Miami will explore.
