Bears Scheduled To Meet Corner Prospect Tomorrow

Stay connected for news and updates

The Bears are set to work out Baylor corner Antareis Bryan on Thursday, according to the Tribune.  Bryan is an interesting prospect and was worked out by the Packers and Texans last month.  More just past the jump

Bryan missed most of his senior season with a hamstring injury after missing his junior season with a broken ankle and was not invited to the NFL combine.  But the 6'1" 200lb corner prospect reportedly ran a 4.34 40, posted a 39" vertical jump and pressed 225 ten times on the bench.

He's not projected to be drafted, but it wouldn't surprise me to see Angelo spend a late rounder on a injury project, and this kid seems to fit the mold.  He might be a nice late round pick up and I really wouldn't mind seeing him grabbed in the 7th as long as the Bears grab another corner earlier.  Chicago needs two corners with Tillman aging, and Bryan might be worth a look as a bargain late.  Just as long as that's not the only corner prospect Jerry wants to bring in.

Sound off, Bears fans!  What do you think?
