2011 Chicago Bears/NFL Draft: Round 1, #25-32 Open Thread

Comment overload.  Join us here, you NFL Draft monsters.  Bears pick soon to come...  Keep refreshing to see our take on each pick!

25. Seattle Seahawks:  James Carpenter, OG/T, Alabama

Dane's take: Um, okay?  He's good, but not good enough for #25 overall.  Thanks, Seahawks.

Lester's take:  I like Carpenter, I didn't like him as a potential Bear, but I think he'll fit in with Seattle's scheme. He has good feet and he'll get on his track and block.

26.  Kansas City Chiefs:  Jon Baldwin, WR, Pittsburgh

Dane's take: WTF happened?

Lester's take:  That offense gets another weapon.  I expect them to go o-line next round.

27.  Baltimore Ravens: Jimmy Smith, CB, Colorado (after Bears negotiations)

Dane's take: WTF happened?

Lester's take: A good corner for them.  He has some issues but that is a strong locker room and he'll be on his best behavior.

28. New Orleans Saints (TRADE with New England Patriots): Mark Ingram, RB, Alabama

Lester's take: I mocked Ingram to the Saints in my 1st mock.  A great pick for them.  He's a workhorse back.  And the Pats get a #1 next year.  Those guys are awesome.

29. Chicago Bears: Gabe Carimi, OT, Wisconsin

Lester's take: YES!

Dane's take: Duh.

---------------------

30. NY Jets: Muhammad Wilkerson, DT Temple

Dane's take: We're proud of Jerry Angelo taking an OL over a DT.

31. Pittsburgh: Cameron Heyward, DT, Ohio State

Dane's take: We're proud of Jerry Angelo taking an OL over a DT.

32. Green Bay: OT Derek Sherrod, OT, Mississippi State

Dane's take: He will help, but HAHA... we got Carimi!
