Worst Bears Draft Picks of All-Time: David Terrell
We've already given you three potential names for the All Time Worst Chicago Bears Draft Pick list, Cade McNown, Curtis Enis, and Joe Moore. This time out we'll stay on offense and present for your consideration David Terrell. Just seeing those names lumped together makes my stomach queasy. I need a moment...
Terrell was the 8th pick overall in the 2001 NFL Draft. The former Michigan Wolverine had the attitude and the mouth of an NFL Diva wide out, but not the talent. He declared for the draft after his Junior season in which he caught 63 balls for 994 yards and 13 TDs. That was his only season of production at Michigan.
As a Bear he totaled 128 receptions for 1,602 yards with 9 TDs in four years. After being cut by Chicago he tried to catch on with a couple other teams but none were dumb enough to put him on the field.
That 2001 Draft also netted WRs (chosen after Terrell): Koren Robinson, Santana Moss, Reggie Wayne, Chad Johnson, Chris Chambers, Steve Smith, and TJ Houshmandzadeh... all Pro Bowlers.
Where do you see Terrell ranking in this All-Time Worst series? Does he belong in the same company as the other three craptastic Bears already profiled?
Stay tuned for more Bears Draft busts, coming soon...

Rashied has nothin' on David Terrell
The original “Dropapotammus”
I'm partial to Ocho...
I think he could have given the Bears that offensive identity that they’ve needed forever.
Reggie is good, but we’ll never know if Peyton was the one who made him.
I'll roll up
Asshole is not an identity that they need.

Quite frankly, none of those WRs coulda done anything with the conglomeration of crap under center
Remember that, between Kramer and Kyle, only Jim Miller had anything resembling a “good” season for the Bears at QB. What did we have? 14 starting QBs in 15 years or something like that? More? Not even the great Jerry Rice could’ve woven gold out of that straw.
Megatron is an animal. He literally seems like the kind of receiver that says just chuck it in the general vicinity and I'll catch it

Love it..
IMO.
He’s the best in the league.
Give hiim a DECENT QB eventually and he could have 1500 + yards in a season.
I'll roll up
Kramer was long gone by the time they drafted David Terrell
Jim Miller was the starting QB and the Bears were 13-3 that year. Terrell played behind a couple of 3rd rounders Marty Booker and Dez White. Tom Brady was his college QB.

I said BETWEEN Kramer and Kyle
Meaning that, from 1995 through 2008 (give or take), the only reasonably decent statistical year from a QB was Jim Miller. Everybody else sucked to some degree (including Rexy).
Do you really think that Calvin Johnson would be able to do what he does with Craig Krenzel tossing the rock? Seriously?
alright "BETWEEN" already and yes I think Calvin Johnson could make Craig Krenzel look like a Jim Miller

Terrell...
may not be the worst pick ever, but he was ALL talk and NO walk. What an absolute joke of a football player. He was gutless and incompetent and not well liked by his teammates. I would rather have seen TJ Whosyourmamma. At least then he could badmouth the Bears from experience and not hearsay!
Maybe he would have gotten along great with the worst pick of all time
Cade Mcknown.

I went to the Chicago game at Tampa in 04.
First play from scrimmage, Thomas Jones busted a screen (surprise) for almost 80 yards and a score. It was called back because of a blatant and completely unnecessary hold by Terrell on the complete opposite side of the field. They went on to lose that game, and my hatred for him grew tenfold that day.

It's not like he'd ever had a decent QB throwing to him.
Now if he had say a Kyle Orton he might have had a chance.
