Would you like to see the Chicago Bears on HBO's Hard Knocks?
The gripping reality series Hard Knocks which airs on HBO has already followed around the Baltimore Ravens (2001), Dallas Cowboys (2002), Kansas City Chiefs (2007), the Cowboys again (2008), Cincinnati Bengals (2009), and the New York Jets (2010). There still hasn't been an announcement as to which team will be featured in 2011. The Denver Broncos, the Detroit Lions, and the Tampa Bay Buccaneers have removed themselves from consideration. Would you like to see the Chicago Bears featured on the HBO series?
ESPN ran a Sports Nation poll with 5 teams up for consideration and the Lions with 36% of over 19,000 votes were the Nations choice. They beat out the Pittsburgh Steelers, the New England Patriots, the Atlanta Falcons and the Broncos.
I can't see the Bears allowing cameras to follow their every move for any length of time let alone through an entire training camp. But I would love to see them featured. According to ESPN:
A league source told ESPN NFL Insider Adam Schefter that the New Orleans Saints, Oakland Raiders and four other teams also are in consideration for the show. An official decision is not expected until later in the spring.
The Raiders? Only if Al Davis has a camera tailing him 24/7. That would be train wreck television at it's finest.

Dear god no.
That’s exactly what we need; several weeks of renewed fretting over Jay’s body language and expressions, and whether he appears leader-ish enough.

Bingo....
Everyone needs to stop voting yes and realize this could hurt the team. Jay is a private kind-of guy. He would hate to work out with a bunch of cameras on him every day.
Of course I would like to see what is going on behind the scenes, but I don’t think it would be good for the Bears.

Yes
Would love to get an inside look at
Jay and Mikes relationship on the practice field and in the film room.
How Rod Marinelli motivates the Bears defensive lineman.
Character of Olin Kreutz, Brian Urlacher, Lance Briggs, Chris Harris and DJ Moore.
Mike Tice developing the offensive line.

Apart from it might being a distraction
^ This. It would be awesome to see these things.

I'd love it
Why wouldn’t every fan want to get the details of their favorite team? Maybe Jay would come across better on Hard Knocks. I hate the Jets, but loved watching Rex Ryan last season. Urlacher, Briggs, and company would be funny to watch on camera.

Not really
Sure I’d like to see all the stuff Blanton listed, but I’m more of a Bears fan than a TV fan. This show creates a distraction the team doesn’t need and I honestly don’t see how they’d be a more entertaining team to cover than the Saints or Raiders. Sure wish they could have featured the Tom Cable Raiders, he could have a lot of comical hardass moments.

I think it would be great
It would show critics the leadership value of our players and can quiet some of them at the same time. It would shut up a lot of people who say the only leader on the Bears is Urlacher. I am 100% sure that Jay can motivate the team. I would also like to watch the development of our younger players. So yeah, I think it would be a great idea.

As a Bears fan, I say yes a thousand times over.
As a fan of good TV, I say no another million times. It would be the most boring season of anything ever put on TV, and that includes Antiques Roadshow and British soaps.

I voted no
but wouldn’t be horrified at the prospect. Maybe what Jay needs is national exposure like that so all of the idiots and haters can see he’s a good dude who just has an unfortunate d-baggish face.

Acreman20: 127 hours is pretty decent.
awfullyquiet: How long is that movie?
Acreman20: 93 minutes.
it would never happen... and it wouldn't be entertaining...
and it’ll show the world that the bears are a boring, no-nonsense team.
and that’s a great thing.

I voted yes, and then re thought this, and would like to change me answer to a NO, reason being is to hell with the national media and its continuous hatred of Chicago teams.
