Dan Pompei: Lessons learned from Cutler's first 5 years

+

An interesting column from Dan Pompei, comparing Jay Cutler's first 5 years to those of 10 other top QBs currently in the game. It's easy for Bears fans to be over-critical of him because he's not playing the perfect game, but this helps put things in perspective. Hopefully it'll be included in a weekend Den if we have one. A summation of Pompei's points: Lesson 1: Cutler has been at a comparative disadvantage. Lesson 2: Cutler's productivity matches up well. Lesson 3: Cutler has not figured out how to win. Lesson 4: Cutler is most similar to Roethlisberger. "When you compare him with other QBs, you find he isn't far off from where many were at a similar stage of development"
