Sporting News thinks Julius Peppers will be 6th in Top 100

CHICAGO - OCTOBER 24: Julius Peppers #90 of the Chicago Bears rushes toward Dovonan McNabb #5 of the Washington Redskins at Soldier Field on October 24 2010 in Chicago Illinois. With only ten players remaining on the NFL Network's much talked about Top 100 list, the Sporting News took their stab at how the final ten would play out.  Their best guess is that the Chicago Bears Julius Peppers would end up sixth.  Take a peek at their list and let us know what you think.

Star-divide

If you care to vote in a poll as to where you think Peppers will be listed, click here.  I voted 6th myself...

Everyone assumes these will be the top 10; (in alphabetical order) Tom Brady, Drew Brees, Andre Johnson, Ray Lewis, Peyton Manning, Peppers, Adrian Peterson, Troy Polamalu, Ed Reed, and Darrelle Revis.

They went with Brady #1, and I agree with that.

Here's what they had to say about Peppers:

6. Julius Peppers, DE, Bears. Chicago wasted no time in breaking the bank to sign him away from Carolina as a free agent last offseason, and he played immediate dividends for Lovie Smith's defense as the Bears posted the NFC's best record. Don't be fooled by the fact Peppers didn't post double-digit sacks (8) in 2010. Despite limited help from the opposite side, he changed every game because of his presence

Yes.  Every.  Single.  Game.  I can't wait for football...

Honestly he deserves to be in the top two or three . Peppers was ....

… the best defensive end in the game last season & proved to be worth every penny we paid him .
