NFC North vs. the Salary Cap

Stay connected for news and updates

I know there is just about one FA post a day here lately at WGC, but I thought this was something that should be shared.

Although the salary cap is not determined yet, John Clayton of ESPN projects that the cap for the upcoming season will be about 120 million dollars, a 9 percent decrease in the last cap from 2009.  How does that fare for the Bears and the rest of the North?  Kevin Siefert breaks down each team.

Without taking away too much from the article itself, here is the basics.

Vikings: About $5.1 million over the cap.

Packers: About $62,000 under the cap.

Lions: About $16.5 under the cap.

BEARS: About $37 million under the cap.

Holy wow.

JA:  Please get a wideout and a O-lineman.  PLEASE.
