Gotta love Danimal, he should be a DL coach.

I see what dans talking about i would agree

But i dont know if we have a end that could replace izzy there..But i would try wooten out hes gotten an chance to play and has some experiance now under his belt..So hey why not give it a shot.If anything wotten at 6’7 can make hard for a qb to look over him at his end and at the other end u got peppers at 6’6 seems interesting.

I believe Peppers is 6'8

And I love Wooton’s potential but he isn’t ready to assume the starting job yet.

Jay Cutler is our QB, and I for one am proud of that

how do we know he isn't ready?

He did great when given playing time last year.

No he didn’t have a Mark Anderson 06 12 sack season, but he did damn good on limited time.

If he can do it again in spot duty,

then maybe we see if he takes the spot from Izzy in ’12. He should get more reps this season, at least.

He did do well in limited time

Just not sure that we should go ahead and place Izzy back at DT in favor of Wooton at DE

If we go ahead and sign a DE like Odom then I'm all for it

But again why keep moving Izzy around when we already have such promising talent at 3T in Paea and Melton, topped off with the fact he played rather well last season at DE?

Do you want to make him the “jumbo option” at DT? Sure he can get his weight back up to 315 like it used to be but isn’t it a little late to ask him to gain all that weight back?

If we don’t sign a good DE then I say leave him be at DE

Maybe, but that does not mean it is in the team's best interest to move him there

moving him to 3 tech might improve that position (might) but it might weaken the defensive line over all if no quality replacement at DE is found.

I always turn to the sports section first. The sports page records people's accomplishments; the front page has nothing but man's failures.

No joke

With respect to Dan, this is a terrible idea. Why screw up the depth chart at two positions when Israel had sustained success last year at end. He will not dominate at either position.

I hope they leave him at DE

Unless Toe, Paea, Melton all bomb out
