2001-2010 All-Bears Team: Kicker

Stay connected for news and updates

Continuing the festivities, we named the punter for the team yesterday and started the voting for the second safety; get over there if you haven't already.

But now, it's onto the kicker, and there's only two candidates, unless Doug O'Brien's three games in 2005 impressed you that much. No jumping this round, I'll give it to ya straight.

Paul Edinger: Sixth round pick out of Michigan State in 2000, kicked in 80 games as a Bear. Has a career FG% of 75.3% as a Bear, and 74.7% from 2001-2005. Never missed an extra point of his 133 in a Bears uniform, nor any of the 164 in his career. Could make deep kicks; was 13-19 as a Bear.

Robbie Gould: A UDFA from Penn State, signed by the Bears in 2005 after Doug O'Brien's balky back backed out on him. Missed one extra point in 2005, has been perfect since on 208 of 209 attempts. Career 85.5% on all field goals, 159-186. 3-6 career from 50+. Named All-Pro in 2006, making 32 of 36 field goals.
