Circulating rumor: File this one solely under the "rumor" category . . . there has been talk among 49ers players that the Chicago Bears made a recent trade offer for safety Taylor Mays that the 49ers declined. The 49ers two weeks ago sent a mass email to the other 31 teams in the NFL to announce that Mays was available -- for the right price -- in a trade. Mays declined comment, and the 49ers denied receiving any offer from the Bears. Wonder what was offered first off & do you fellas think Mays could benefit from a scenery change ? Also whats Mays worth at this point ?
