Chester Taylor Released (or was he?)
Well this should come as no surprise. Here's what Rotoworld thought...Taylor is 31, averaged 2.4 yards per carry last season and the Bears added Marion Barber as their power back. The ex-Viking even got outplayed by Kahlil Bell this preseason. We're skeptical that Taylor will ever be productive again, even as a backup.

I think they (Angelo martz Tice) are happy with the OLine they have now especially with how they played the last 2 games…..

Taylor wasn't worth anything in a trade.
I’ve heard NFL teams like their running backs to have north of a 3.0 YPC and not fall down every play.

I remember reading through a long list of stubborn arguments, over and over again
Supporting him… claiming it was all the Jets fault for “mis-using” him.
Amobi Okoye, on the other hand, was a great pick-up that I applauded right away. Though labeled a bust, we got a guy who has been a starting DT in the NFL for much of the past 4 seasons.

Both were great.
They were both low-risk, high-reward signings. The guy performs, great! He doesn’t, cut him and move on. Which is what they did.
Personally, I thought Gholston would excel in a 4-3, where he would be utilized with his hand on the ground. And, you know, with the “best defensive line coach to ever to blahbitty blah…”

Too bad Taylor didn't work out but hey he got paid and he sucked so problem solved.
Gholston had every chance of impressing and he failed. If Marinelli couldn’t get him to play to his potential and he was getting outplayed by UDFA’s then he deserved to be cut!

Gholston was and is a major fail. Addison out played him as well as a few other DL players
I don't think this will be official until the Bears know for sure if Marion Barber will miss any time
Due to his calf injury he suffered at the Titans game. Once Barber is good to go, then aüfweidersain Taylor!
