In all honesty, Roberto’s been a staple of this line for the last 6 years (at least). The other players are giving him a boost in allowing him to truly replace Kreutz from both a positional and leadership standpoint.

The media has made a huge deal about Kruetz’s “leadership” and how his role as a “leader” will be hard to replace…
Every interview, or media clip, or anything of the sorts i have ever read, heard, or seen about Kruetz made him look like a total douche. Idk i’m sure he was a great leader for this team, but maybe that role was a little over-exaggerated by the media. these are grown men..I don’t think they idolize their “locker room leaders” say as much as a high school, or college team… Just my own personal thought.

supposedly he and cutler didn't get along that well
and he wasn’t the best guy to the rookies. all heresay, of course. and quite honestly, i thought that was all secondary to his play on the field, which had deteriorated significantly. how’s he doing in NO? heard he was getting beat badly early.

Supposedly Grossman had problems with Kruetz as well
Including a rumored conversation during the SB lose where Kruetz asked Grossman if he was doing anything wrong when Grossman couldn’t hang onto a snap there for half a dozen plays. I always suspected Kruetz was kind of a jerk and now all signs seem to point in that direction. I wasn’t upset to see him go, I feel the line got better with his departure.
