2011 Week 17: Chicago Bears at Minnesota Vikings Open Thread
So it's come to this for the 2011 Chicago Bears. A tumultuous start leads to a bitter ending, as what was once considered a playoff season has crashed and burned after an uncommon injury to quarterback Jay Cutler.
And what we'll see today is indeed two proud teams, who are not in uncommon situations...
Both teams have a quarterback who wasn't the starter on opening day. Both teams lost their star running backs to knee injuries. Both teams have defensive-minded head coaches, and those defenses let both teams down time and again.
This game's outcome only affects draft choices, so keep an eye out for whichever mid-round pick we get. It's been an emotional season, and as always, we thank you for making WCG the single best damn Chicago Bears site on the internet.

Yeah, what I am saying is that anyone with an average statline and a better team will beat the guy that deserves it
That argues that the OC is doing a hell of a job coaching the guy up however to where he can win it.
Cedric Benson hasn’t contributed, and AJ Green missed a good chunk of time. Dalton still won in the meantime. Good Coaching.

Or it means the TEAM is better than the individual. A good D, special teams and some contribution on O
(which AJ Green Bunsen burner, Gresham and Simpson have provided). Newton broke records for crying out loud while Dalton has been average. He should NOT be winning ROY.
