Jeff Fisher takes the Rams job, Dave Toub still in play for Miami
With Jeff Fisher making it official that he'll be the next head coach of the St. Louis Rams, the coaching dominoes may find Bears special teams coordinator Dave Toub ending up in Miami. Reports have them choosing from their other candidates, Toub, Packers offensive coordinator Joe Philbin, Bengals defensive coordinator Mike Zimmer, and Todd Bowles, who was Miami's interim coach after they fired Tony Sparano. I still think they'll go for a splashier pick, but no word on any other candidates at this time.
Have you checked out Spongie's Wildcard weekend best of in-game thread post? Fun times for sure...

Toub looks like he finds someone’s lack of faith disturbing…..
When I assume, I'm not "making an ass out of u and me"... I'm actually putting u between me and an ass.
Never question his devotion to film review... actually I wouldn't bring up any manner of data tapes.
Fear will keep the local media and dolphins fans in line.

Not sure Philbin will be doing any interviewing
in the near future (unless he already had interviewed with them), also have read somewhere (possibly) his name was in the mix for Oakland.
Also Dom Capers name has come up for the HC in Fin land .....

I want Toub to get a HC job because I believe it's his time and he's ready
But I’d really hate seeing him leave Chicago… Let’s hope he has been training someone to be his successor

I want Toub to get the CHICAGO Head Coaching job.
Guy’s simply too good at what he does. When Lovie’s tenure is done, I want Toub as the replacement. It’ll suck losing both the PatMan and the PatMan’s coach in the same season…
Wrong & give the fire this on & that one stuff up .....

Really ?? So you can read minds and stuff , right ? Is your name Mrs. Cleo ...
….. or do you own the psychic friends network ?? Dude really come off of it . LostInSTL is one of Lovie’s biggest detractors and he even says that Lovie deserves a shot still yet . You give Lovie some talent and then he fails fine fire him , but until then his front office has failed him not the other way around .
Really man this fire this one and fire that one rhetoric is old and really stale . Some advise …… Let it go .

Disagree.
Lovie should ride out his current contract, be evaluated at that time, and then decide what to do with him.
Really, he’s not a bad coach. He’s probably in the Top 10 of all current Head Coaches for his overall job. He’s a terrible in-game manager, but his teams seem to respond well to his coaching style. Meatballs hate him for largely emotional, rather then empirical, reasons. I’m not sure if Lovie’s a good coach, but I think he’s not a bad coach.
That being said, I want Dave Toub to be Lovie’s successor on this team. I think that he’s got the absolute respect of the team, he’s gonna be creative with his personnel, playcalling, and design, and he’s not gonna take any crap from anybody. I like that, emotionally. I think he’ll be a great NFL head coach, and I want him to be a Head Coach in Chicago for a long time.
I like your assessment...
As much as I call for Lovie to be fired, I do actually consider him a good coach. I think he’s ridden his horse to the end of the trail in Chicago. He has taken the Bears as far as he could have and for the Bears to move forward as anything more than mediocrity with attitude, the Bears need the creativity of a Toub to get them to the next cycle of high talent. IMO, Lovie should be the next head coach in Jax or TB, but the timing is all wrong.
There's a fine line between stupid...and clever!
If Toub becomes HC...
Think he’d try trading Brandon Marshell for Hester?
Think it’d be worth it?
Personally I dunno which would be better..
pros/cons both ways
