NFC Divisional Playoffs: New York Giants At Green Bay Packers Open Thread
Today's second game brings the pass rush of the Giants versus the well-executed offensive attack of the Packers. The last time these two met up in the playoffs, the Giants beat Brett Favre as they went on to upset the Patriots in the Super Bowl. Will this time bring more of the same, or will the Packers continue their dominant ways of this season?
As always, Open Thread Responsibly (TM).

I am hoping that Eli has the game of his career...
And Bradshaw and Jacobs have great games too.
Unreasonable people make life difficult...
Not much...
I am hoping my two-part plan is finalized:
- Denver Tebow’s lose so I don’t have to hear about that d-bag anymore this season.
- Packers get upset by Giants…so I can stop seeing every man, woman, and child wearing green and gold jerseys everywhere I look!!!

its been a rough year for me since week 1 but it took JA and Martz for me to get back and i’m happy to be back. and an Old chief of mine showed me it and he’s a packer fan.

I hope that the Giants completely ruin Rodgers here
Ruin him so bad that his passing ability never recovers and he becomes a turnover prone mess for the rest of his career.

If that was intentionally called in Green Bay’s direction, then people need to be fired, pronto.
But even if that was accidental, a call missed to that degree of fuckery is a problem. Even if it’s only the one, it altered this game HUGELY, and seriously cheapens the image of this game, the playoffs, and the league itself. Disgusting.

"F-ing" QB trumps "F-ing" LB and FS. Also, Brady has "F-ing" Gronkowski, Branch, Law Firm and Welker.
And they have the worst "F-ing" defense to show for it

That GB team, vs 85 Bears
Rodgers in a bodybag in the 1st quarter. Bears win by 200. Dent holding Rodgers head and puts it on a stick…..The Bear fans roar in glory!

By 200? That's it?

Here's the sad thing guys
The Bears by week 10 were a better all around team than any team left in the playoffs
Hey Rose. I don't see the appeal!
Idk if we're better than the 49ers tho
Only if Alex played like he did against the saints

they were, our bois were on fire
of course, no other non-chicago bears fan will admit it, but by jsut analyzing how good the bears were, it was def on par with the likes of the niners.
And all it took...
would have been to pull Hanie after 2 or even 3 bad outings. Lovie chose 4!

I called to get my discount doublecheck
but…the call was dropped

Winning teams avged
35 this weekend…..Offensive weapons damn it……But Lovie might disagree since the better defenses kept the opposing offenses in check….Sorta like the chicken and the egg thing I guess….

This win by the Giants, over the #Bears rival Packers, has to help the GM candidacy of Marc Ross with the #Bears.

A year later???...
and BTW…wouldn’t you like to be talking about a Bears SB hangover rather than rooting for some other team to beat the Packers? The Giants are now 2-1 against the Packers in the playoffs…THE BEARS should be that team! THAT makes me angry!

Oh hell yes!
Get his interview done NOW. He has a good idea about the road to success against the Pack; good pass rush, decent zone coverage, and be balanced on offense while spreading the ball around and protecting the QB.

He probably wanted too much control...
over Lovie’s defense!
There's a fine line between stupid...and clever!
I thought he rejected us because the Giants job was way more desirable.
That and Coughlin is closer to retirement than Lovie so he has the HC inside track.
I believe it was more about...
the fact that Lovie was on thin ice and Fewell expected Lovie to be gone in a year, so taking over as HC would have been much more likely if that were his motive. That and JA wasn’t fucking up the drafting in NY either.
There's a fine line between stupid...and clever!
Yes it was
this…..Most everyone assumed Lovie was done with the Bears after the 10 season…..

Honestly...
if Lovie can get a SB trophy for the Bears then good for him; and us. Either way, it needs to happen soon. 26 years since the last one!

My brother the packer fan saying the drops cost the pack 21 pts!!
There are a blind fan base
Hoping that Peppers does the belt dance over Rodgers crumpled on the turf
The refs gave them 14 points
So whatever

Honestly...
I get some uncalled holding penalties, but the Jennings “not fumble” or the roughing the passer that wasn’t even close???? How is that NOT obvious bias?

I’m closing this bad boy up, because it’s nearly 900 comments, which is a big, shitty, laggy thread. However, you can join this (non-open) thread RIGHT OVER HERE.
