After a weekend of some great match-ups, and some not-so-great (I'm looking at you, Broncos), the Championship Game Match-Ups have been set. The Baltimore Ravens will travel to Gillette Stadium to take on the New England Patriots, while the New York Giants will travel across the continent to take on the San Francisco 49ers at Candlestick Park. We're nearing the end of the 2011 season, and we've got some great match-ups to determine the Super Bowl contenders. The countdown to the Super Bowl begins now.

Ravens and 49ers.
Not that this will be the match up to actually happen, but I would love to see the sibling rivalry heat up.
Harbaugh Bowl 2.0?
Media coverage would be sickening….

I think I'm backing the 49ers for the remainder of the year.
But I also think this would be an awesome game.
When you go to somebody's house, you don't crap on their floor. Being a fan of one team does NOT give you license to be a dick to fans of another.
Corollary: When people are visiting your house and behaving themselves, them being a fan of a different team is NOT a reason for you to piss in their beer.

I'm torn.
Don’t know what I hate the sound of more:
Joe Flacco/Alex Smith winning a Superbowl ahead of Jay Cutler…vs. Tom Brady, the Patriots, and stupid, stupid Boston fans winning another.

Maybe a bit better...

I dont want a harbaugh bros
Super Bowl- the amount of sibling rivarly stories I’d have to suffer through would be unbearable. Pats vs 49ers.
If its free, take two.

Could be worse,,,
A Harbaugh Bowl would be much better than a Ryan Bowl, so far as media hype…

Happiness IS...
Not seeing the Slackers hoist the hallowed Halas Trophy again.
Happiness IS…
Not seeing the Halas Trophy enter Hell on Earth (aka Lambeau Field). Even if they don’t win it. It shouldn’t even be in the building. (BTW, I almost feel the same about the Lombardi Trophy if it didn’t come attached to a Super Bowl Victory)
As far as the predictions? I’d LOVE seeing a Ravens/49ers Slugfest. The kind of game where you know that no stretch of field between the hash marks will remain in its original place, and likely all over every single player’s uniforms. A true blue Bears brawl type of game. Yes, I come to 3-and-outs. Especially when it’s not the Bears doing the punting :-D
You must have been spent watching us this season.

I'm not even remotely a Giants fan
But today, I was practically a New Yawker. I couldn’t help but really enjoy seeing the Lambeau Leapers fizzle out.
'85 Bears went 15-1, won the SB
packers went 15-1 lost in the first round.
point made.

Uhm
There’s not really any point there.

But as far as pointless points go...
he’s got a point…
Above all; keep 'em guessing, never let them lose their sense of confusion.
+1
Even though they went 15-1, I don’t think there’s much of a comparison between this year’s Packers and the ‘85 Bears. That ’85 Bear’s defense was so much better than this year’s Packers, that they really didn’t need much of an offense. And as well as the defense was playing in the playoffs, we could have won the Super Bowl with Steve Fuller playing quarterback.
So does this mean no more double discount check commercials?
Maybe defeated sb champ discount or double douchebags (clay and Rogers) discount.

No they aren't.
They played on January 1st, just like the Bears did. They beat the Lions, a divisional rival, with their backup quarterback throwing for 480 yards.
The Packers are, in fact, 1-1.

Just Goes to Show that the Pundits Are Wrong Again!
they aid that you don’t need a defense, all you need is a gunslinger QB and all will be well… WRONG!
Defense still wins championships.
I know it's probably going to be Pats and Giants....
But I would love Ravens v Niners – Harbaugh v Harbaugh. Plus I just dislike the Patriots.
