I hope he went peacefully in his sleep.
And I hope his family and friends are left to their grieving in peace.
And I hope people read the full text of the post, so Kev doesn’t have to get Banhammer happy.
When you go to somebody's house, you don't crap on their floor. Being a fan of one team does NOT give you license to be a dick to fans of another.
Corollary: When people are visiting your house and behaving themselves, them being a fan of a different team is NOT a reason for you to piss in their beer.

So I get to go on a massive ban-spree and you'll all go blame Kev, right?
Sweet!

That's "within reason."
I mean, we can #BlameThorCo for just about anything, including global warming and alien crop circles. But bans?

I remember crop circles from before ThorCo was born

You can say the cancer killed him but its more of just a coincidence here. The scandel was what killed him. He lost the will to live.
RIP JoePa
That's a funny comment, considering you know nothing about Paterno's will to live.
On a somewhat related note, Viktor Frankl did a mighty fine job both discovering, then later explaining, the will to live.
I'm a ninja.
I've been spending my whole life searching for the answer to life.
Oh wait, 42. That was easy.

But what's the question?

The meaning of life.
Cause the only logical answer is 42.

No, I am pretty positive cancer (and the treatments he was receiving) killed him.

Well, come on. When your health is ailing and in the meantime, you get something near and dear to your livelihood took away from you, never to return, would you want to live?
C-Razzle has a valid observation/opinion...
…whether or not he has personal knowledge of Paterno’s will to live is irrelevant and not funny. The impact on Paterno of what happened at Penn State cannot be denied and I think even a moron would say it didn’t have a positive effect on his health or outlook on life.

How apropos.

Lifelong Bears and PSU fan
The only team that ever came close to rivaling my love of the Bears was his Nittany Lions. This is a very sad day for me. My thoughts and prayers are with his family.
RIP. At 85, with all that has happened and no season to prepare for, he had no reason to fight for his life.
Hopefully he went peacefully, in his sleep. Personally untouched by scandal, yet brought down by a friend he believed in. Sad way to spend your last few months.
Condolences to the Paterno Family and to Penn State from Badger Nation
Conference rival, respected advisary, and one hell of a great football mind…
As far as the BigTen is concerned you were both a Leader and a Legend
Joe Pa you will be missed, RIP.
Unreasonable people make life difficult...
85 is a pretty good run
I still have a hard time thinking of Penn State as a Big Ten school.
