Isn't it amazing that:

Two out of the three primary candidates for the GM job (Licht and Ross) will have their rosters featured in this years’ super bowl?

Jay Cutler is our QB, and I for one am proud of that

I definitely don't mind it, ECD.

It looks nice.

But why do I have the bad feeling that this will encourage Phillips and the McCaskeys to make an impulsive move towards one of the other candidates?

So are we going to do bets on Day/Hour that we get the GM news this (or possibly next) week?

I say someone brakes the story on twitter on Thursday evening, about 7-8pm with an offcial anouncement coming Friday, 27th.

if they were to pick Jason Licht or Marc Ross dont they have to wait until after the superbowl as these two are connected to the finalists

Yes

Unless the respective team allowed him to leave prior to the conclusion of their season.

If its free, take two.

From the Biggs article on ST Turnover...

Podlesh seems like a class act:

becoming the first punter in franchise history to finish with a net average better than 40 yards. He rewarded those who aided him on the coverage team with bottles of champagne after the season.

by David in Maine on Jan 23, 2012 8:21 AM CST reply actions

And he can punt.

Toub

He can turn a pile of crap into special teams gold. Makes you wonder if he can turn our crappy O line into something good. j/k

0-2 on my guesses..

and now I really don’t want to watch the superbowl. The only upside to this postseason so far is at least we don’t have to see the flaming/flying tebows playing in the superbowl

So you predicted based on emotion

rather than logic?

I got the Pats right, but lost on the Niners. It doesn’t help that the Ravens and the Niners gave the game away on a silver platter.

I usually go with a gut feeling

and my gut was wrong with the niners game. And i also believe based on what i heard t he Raven had a championship D this Season and they did everything they could do. so my Ravens prediction was 85-90% logic and 15-10% emotion. Plus i like cheering for the underdogs in big games.

Shoulda stopped your post after Bears Fan.

Although it has no bearing on my life and shouldn’t affect me, I can’t stand when people like more than one team.

One is the loniest number

Poor Lee Evans, Cundiff and Williams.

Talk about feeling hungover until the start of OTAs.

Since Cutty's girl just got pregnant, that means the baby should be popping up around October

anyone else worried about Jay staying up all night with a baby and then getting up to play a game?

importance of special teams

All season long people talked about what wins games..Well, i have a different view…What LOSES games? Special Teams.Yesterdays games SHOWED how important it is to have a complete special teams squad….Ravens missed easy fieldgoal & 49ers dropped a kick return…So, I will ask…..What did THE WHOLE Playoffs depend on?SPECIAL TEAMS..What do you think?

Kurt Warner should remember that...

Martz only “changed” after Cutler got on him about the big drops that were getting him killed behind the below average OL. What I hope to see from Tice is a chance for Cutler to audible out of bad plays and a more balanced O right from the start.

And So I Watch You From Afar

are friends of mine. My band has played with them a couple of times and I was over in Belfast to see them last year. Another excellent Northern Irish band are Lafaro (for those who like a nice chunky riff), who actually watched the Super Bowl at my house a couple of years ago, thus becoming honorary Bears fans. I’ll let them know that you’ve linked them here, I’m sure they’ll be pleased that they’re being watched from so afar.

Sweet!

We’ll have to give Dane credit for this one. He has a real nose for the less mainstream talent.
