Mike Tice Apparently Not to Interview With The Raiders
The news just keeps pouring out.
Sean Jensen reports that Tice is not going to go to his interview with the Raiders, and will remain with the Bears.
Mike Tice will not interview for the Oakland Raiders heading coaching vacancy, the team announced Monday evening.
This news comes as a surprise. While not considered a frontrunner, many assumed he would go through the interview process as others had.
This indicates that Tice will stay with the Bears, and they will neither need to hire a new coordinator, or put new father-to-be Jay Cutler through the process of working with a stranger at offensive coordinator.

Now that Coughlin will get a contract extension its likely Cowher will
look elsewhere and Chicago is one of the premier jobs and locations. Granted, ownership might not pay Cowher what he wants. Lovie has 2 years left and could be fired with one year left on his contract.
Please not this Cowher stuff again ....

Anyone know why he isn't interviewing?
It is surprising news – wonder what’s up?

Maybe he didn't want to and thus turned down the interview
Looks like he is serious about being committed to being the Bears’ OC.

Maybe he likes the Bears organization
I know that sounds crazy, also maybe he likes the team and working with Lovie.

yes that sounds crazy

Maybe the Bears craziness is the lesser of two evils

The Emperor Is Dead.
I will not post the picture of The Emperor, as it’s been known to scar women and children.
Makes me wonder
why he doesn’t take it. It’s a younger defense + an offense with equal to greater weapons + a chance to be the first coach of an Al Davis-less Raider team. The Bears are probably closer to reaching the SB, though.

Because he's not listed as a front-runner
And doesn’t want to waste his time?

Still, it does raise questions.
I’m not trying to read anything into this move but why announce that you’ll be interviewing and then withdrawal? Something changed his mind. I wonder what?
Above all; keep 'em guessing, never let them lose their sense of confusion.
I don't think it was Tice that announced it
I believe it was the Raiders that announced they would interview Tice
Stop making sense

Also because the Raiders decided not to interview him.
They’re moving on in their process, already setting up 2nd interviews with certain candidates.
You're welcome.
That explains a lot.
Sorta makes the Raider look like pricks but they are the Raiders so….

This is good
Although I wasn’t really concerned about him getting the job.
Things are starting to come together now. Hopefully we will see some favorites for the passing game coordinator and or a O-Line coaching positions surface this week

Mike Tice also appears on the Mayan calendar?
But only until December 12th?

I'm busy panicking over the Bears new GM
Not that I know anything about Emery or Licht, but I figure I might as well get a good running start.

Very good news
I had an ominous feeling that Tice would accept the position if offered it.

MAYBE
just maybe he would be first in line when they fire lovie.so he keeps his feet under the table. DONT bite the hand that feeds you
He probably didn't go because
The new owner of the Raiders is an Idiot… Why in the world would he fire his staff that put together a solid team this year? His dad told him to leave management meetings and told him he was stupid. And he looks like Lloydd from Dumb and Dumber.
I'm not a raiders fan
But where did you get this?

There was an article about it earlier this past month on yahoo?
How Al asked his son about who they should draft in 09 I believe, and when he answered, Al flipped on him, called him an idiot and kicked him out of the room. Apparently this kind of thing happened all the time.
