Super Bowl Appearances
Real Quick:
New England Patriots - 1st Super Bowl 1985 - Total = 7
New York Giants - 1st SB 1986 - Total Super Bowls = 5
San Francisco 49ers - 1st SB 1982 - Total SB = 5
Pittsburgh Steelers - 1st SB - 1975 - Total SB = 8
Chicago Bears - 1st SB - 1985 - Total = 2
This post is probably pointless, but it really bugged me when I realized that this years Super Bowl participants have been there 12 times total! The Bears ownership needs to get their act together and get the right people in the right positions because winning a Super Bowl isn't about luck. I know, preaching to the choir right?

It could be worse
The Cardinals, Falcons, Panthers, Chargers, Seahawks, and Titans have all been there once, but lost. Or you could look at the Bills and Vikings who have been there four times each, but lost all four. And even more, there’s the Detroit Lions…

The Lions have won more than 10 games in a season
once since 1963. Comparatively, the Bears have done it 11 times.
Go Bears.
Now compare the Bears 11 time to
how many times the Colts have won 10 games or more since 1998

Meh.
They’ve only won more than 10 games in a season 13 times since 1963. Plus, it kind of helps when you draft the greatest QB to ever play the game.

Also helps when that QB has had
Marvin Harrison , Reggie Wayne, Dallas Clark, Edgerin James, Marshall Faulk, Jeff Saturday , on his team

Truth.
But would Marvin Harrison, Reggie Wayne or Dallas Clark been who they are without Peyton Manning? Chicken or Egg, go!
And I may be wrong, but I don’t believe Faulk was ever part of a Colts team that won more than 9 games.

No he didn’t. He was traded to the Ravens so they could draft Peyton… my bad.

When I look at the bears org.
I’m disappointed because this is the kind of market that deserves a stretch playoff run every year. Kind of like how the Giants are always hanging around at the end of the season. The team is so inconsistent we haven’t even had back to back winning seasons in like five years. It’s depressing.
