There’s a fellow Chicagoan that will probably looking for work this fall. Won’t have to pay him much of a salary as he will be drawing a nice pension check.

I'm going with Phil Emery

Given that he already has players he worked with on the team in Brian Urlacher, Lance Briggs, and Charles Tillman. Topped off with having ties to Lovie Smith and Tim Ruskell, it seems to be the most logical, as well as the better hire given his actual success in players he scouted.

But I wish the poll was who do you want it to be as opposed to who do you think it will be. I’m curious, do people have a preference? Or maybe like me, they are just happy Ruskell is out?

Neither of them are going to be a real GM anyway.

The winner will become a glorified scouting director, without the authority of a real GM. The Bears are a completely dysfunctional organization.

Neither of these guys is going to have the stones/power to make major moves (fire a coach, cut an aging star, etc).

i dont get why ppl care so much about players who were picked while these guys were scouting directors. they werent the gm maybe ross hated JPP but reese thought he was a stud. or licht thought every guy BB drafted was a turd.
