DE Nick Perry, G David DeCastro, and OT Mike Adams are still available there. I like those guys better here. I think that WR should be a Free Agent, not a Rookie.

Trade up a few spots for Richardson.

If Richardson is still there around 15/16 I’d jump all over it. I’m pretty sure Tice wouldn’t mind a little Forte/Richardson tandem in his backfield.

That would be something

Imo Richardson is the best player in the draft, this guy is a total freak, can do everything.

Did I miss something ??? Have we already gotten ....

…. a WR ( both a 1 & a 2 ) , a Left Tackle & a Tight End ? Cause thats the only way Richardson is here ( and if Forte ain’t here ) .

Are you serious?

We’re just talking hypothetically here. All I’m saying is, I think Richardson is the best player in the draft and him and Forte in the backfield would be something else.

So you would consider drafting a running back with all ....

….. of our real needs being elsewhere ? It doesn’t mke sense to draft for a position thats already strong when everywhere else is weak ( minus QB ) . While Richardson is a great talent he would not be a great round one pick for us we just have too many holes to draft him there . Not to mention we really need to get some young talent on D as well .

At some point you need to stop

minimizing your damage, And start maximizing their damage. They can both catch, too.

I agree with this to a point...

…but I think Richardson has a chance to be elite, and if he fell close to 19 (don’t think he will), I think you have to look at him.

If you think there is comparable talent or if Richardson is only marginally better than other picks that fill needs, then yes, you pass.

I was really just dreaming a bit

about this scenario, don’t put too much thought in it. There’s no chance Richardson will fall to us, but if he does, yes I would draft him.

Yes

What if the Bears go out and sign a OT and WR in free-agency? It would certainly make perfect sense then.

Not really . So your sayin our Defense is just fine and we need ....

…. nothing both depth wise or talent wise on that side of the ball ? Richardson is a luxury pick that we cannot afford to make .

All that said if , and this is a big if , he is the top player on our board , there are no solid players to fill a need for us &/or there is no way to trade down the & only then would that pick make sense .

Nobody is saying the Defense is just fine.

I’m assuming we don’t walk away from FA empty handed, especially with the cap room. And I like Floyd in this mock draft, great hands. I also like the last 12 players picked ahead of him in this mock draft if anybody slips. But for best value, I like Richardson there. I’d give up next years 3rd round pick if possible, but we do have two 3rd rounders this year. That leaves a coupl decent picks to fill some more holes.

But with that (purely hypothetical) tandem of Forte & Richardson, both great receivers out of the backfield, playing in Tice’s Offense. I think Min, Det and GB all simultaneously crap their pants.

Draft on value, not need.

Every successful team does this. If Richardson falls then it makes a ton of sense.

I'd rather have Denard at #19

Don’t trust Floyd’s off the field issues. Might translate to poor work ethic.

Get a WR in free-agency.
