I think we all understand the fact that the Bears have a lot of needs. LB,DB,WR,OL and so on. But lets be realistic in the fact that the Bears need an offensive playmaker. Sure we can go out and get Jackson,Bowe, or Colston. All though I am completely on board with any one of those guys, I just can't see passing up the oppurtunity to draft a receiver like Blackmon.
I've heard all of the arguments about bringing in someone who is not proven in the NFL. But let me hear a real reason why we should not trade up to get him. Think about the fact that any first or second rounders are usually brought in to be potential starters. From the 3rd round on down its usually a bunch of players who are supposed to be works in progress. With Blackmon there would be no work in progress. The guy has a nearly flawless skill set. He can run routes well, has great hands, size, speed, and everything you want in a reciever. So why in the world would you pass up the chance to get possibly the most solid reciever to come out of college in a long time. What would it take, This years and next years 1st rounders plus an extra 3rd or two. The reason I wrote this is because I want to hear some more excuses on why we shouldnt go after Blackmon.
