Saw this when I woke up this morning.

Sean jensen says its possible because of the new HC coming into Miami. All depends though.

Wouldnt it be funny if we had another DE with the last name Salters!

While I wouldn't mind seeing him in Chicago,

one season of “good behavior” probably isn’t enough…. with all the history of off field issues, I’m not sure Chicago would seriously consider him.

If you look at the team's WRs, you see why they would be fools not to consider Marshall

I suspect playing again with Cutler would help keep Marshall focused. Go for it. It makes more sense than trading up for Blackmon.

How would it make more sense exactly?

Marshall is proven, he will be less costly and Jay likes him

why either/or instead of both

Blackmon is a beast, make it happen.

Cause we can't use picks to trade for Marshall AND trade up all the way to the 2nd or 3rd pick

you really think the Bears have the picks to do both?

That would be our #1 receiver we wanted so much..

And if we could bring in a good LT to keep Jay out of IR, i would be very happy..

Keep in mind we have 4 picks in the first 3 rounds.

I think a 2nd and maybe a 4th would be feasible

Hopefully, the new GM will be bold and pull this trade off.

Well heck if you're thinking of it like that

Then send the draft to Detroit for Megatron!

I think a mere 3rd round pick could do it . Lets consider he was ....

…. traded for a 2 second round picks in the first place . And while he has behaved OK that could factor into his tradability and his overall value . So a third seems bout right .

Why not?

Because of his pattern of idiotic and immature behavior that hurts his team with penalties and distraction

I wish I could do links on my phone so I could link the YouTube video that shows him when he wanted to get traded from Denver and threw his temper tantrum at camp. Or when he got an unsportsmanlike conduct penalty when we played the phins last year for throwing the ball at Jay after a catch. I don’t want someone on the team who does dumb crap like that.

Point is did he ever do this stuff when he had Jay to keep him in line ? The answer ...

….. is no , not really . Jay kept him in line and I think he could do it again . Look at our locker room we gots a few fellas to keep Marshall from doin those dumb things . To me the question you have to ask is would he help the team ? I think that answer is obvious .

im sure hes pissed hes in mia

i didnt see him throwing the ball to jay as some big f u to him. he was being funny. this is the nfl a lot of players do dumb crap. if they can ball you deal with them and try to help them.

by TR MacReady on Jan 8, 2012 7:21 PM CST up reply actions

Yes, but is there a real chance he could hurt the team?

It doesn’t matter how many guys are supposedly “keeping him in line” one bad attitude can bring down a locker room.

A guy can still be a cancer even if he's not getting in trouble

See Santonio Holmes this year for evidence.

I'd rather not trade when we can get a WR of comparable talent in FA.

Not so much

Earl Bennett would just take over as the #2. Then, Dane Sanzenbacher takes over in the slot. All this shall be followed up by a high round draft pick providing depth.

Jay Cutler is our QB, and I for one am proud of that

by Erik Christopher Duerrwaechter on Jan 8, 2012 3:36 PM CST up reply actions

Bennett at #2 and Sanzenbacher starting?

Better would be getting another WR to be the #2 and let Bennett and Sanzenbacher move to #3 and 4 where they probably belong.

sanzenbacher looked and played like a #6 reciever.

but i think he still has upside and maybe he plays a lot better this year, but i’d be appalled if Dane was slated to be in the starting line up.

Let us cavort like the Greeks of old! You know the ones I mean.

not really

Marshall for Knox is a huge upgrade. get another via free agency or the draft and with Bennett, Hester and Sansenbacher, it could be a productive unit.

Not a full time WR no, but there are some situations where he can be effective

If he is your fifth receiver, that would be okay
