AFC Wild Card: Pittsburgh At Denver Open Thread

The weekend's final game pits (no pun intended) the NFL's latest fad against last year's Super Bowl runner-up and this year's league-best defense. The Broncos won the AFC West with an 8-8 record, and the Steelers were narrowly edged in their division by the Baltimore Ravens.

So we get to watch it. As always, Open Thread Responsibly (TM).

I agree he gets way too much hype...

I just can’t support anyone who has made as many hate-mongering comments as Tebow has.

I know he is very hard-working, and has gone through adversity in his life, but so have a number of the “anonymous” players in the league.

Dont disagree with the Ben comment but the bad snap over his head

cost them 3 and they would have been ahead. Pouncey doesnt make that snap

not to mention the idiotic delay of game

at the end of regulation made the FG attempt 66 yrds instead of 61 where he would have had a shot

They did deserve that

If they actually gave a shit about special teams and give the kicker a chance. They might not be in that position…66 yards or not a chance is still a chance

thats like Kirk Hinrich putting up 50 points on 30 shot attempts, lmao.

30 yrds per completion

Yeah

I put that on the D more than Tebow. No damn way a good D should allow 30 yards a catch

the pass D still should have done better coverage

they underestimated Tebows arm and they should have known he would go deep. He has done it several times in season,

by Geo4MVP on Jan 8, 2012 7:33 PM CST up reply actions

Pittsburgh's defense does give up big plays since they play alot of man to man

Polamalu is the freelance cog of the D. This is potential for big plays to happen against them

It was like watching one of those old times games where you only throw 15-20 times but all of those passes were 25+ yards down the field

I HATE YOU PERSONALLY, MARION BARBER.

Barber, if you just had freaking fallen down inbounds I would not have had to listen to yet ANOTHER week of TeboeMania.

i was referring to the whole game….

by Beer Down! on Jan 8, 2012 7:40 PM CST up reply actions

Oh

Pitt scored 2 FGs in 1st Q…Broncos scored 20 pts in 2nd Q (Tebow throw to Royal, Tebow QB draw, Prater from 20, 28)
Pitt eventually tied at 23-23 in the 4th Q, neither team got in range for a FG
Ot, 1st Play, above.

Simple

STEELERS GOT TEBOW’D

Jay Cutler is our QB, and I for one am proud of that

Nothing really wowed me about the Steelers this year, but I didn’t expect them to get T-boned…

Brandon Carr

Lets make it happen!

Hmm...

Since there are more Pro Bowl receivers expected to be available in FA as opposed to CBs, I would take Brandon Carr and then either sign one of the other notable receivers (V-Jax, Colston, Wayne) or trade for Brandon Marshall.

Just want to thank

tim tebow for making me a lot of coin tonight…..

I knew pitt had no shot with that old beat up defense and a dinged up ben…..I mean they barely beat the browns that last week of the regular season with all those injuries…..But hey if ESPN wants to crown him then I guess they got their wish…..
