Ex-Chicago Bear of the Week: Leslie Frazier

Minnesota Vikings head coach Leslie Frazier is the Ex-Chicago Bear of the week.

This week the Windy City Gridiron's Former Chicago Bears Watch Committee (WCGFCBWC) had slim pickings between the white lines looking for a former Bears player that stood out, so they went with a former Bears player turned coach. Minnesota Vikings head honcho Leslie Frazier played corner back in Chicago from 1981-1985, before tearing up his knee during Super Bowl XX.

Some Bears fans forget just how good of a DB Frazier was. In just 6 years he compiled 20 interceptions, and was a key member of that '85 team. These days he's overseeing one of the surprise stories in the NFL, as he has the Vikes in a first place tie with the Bears.

The NFL is a passing league, but Frazier has Minnesota winning behind running back Adrian Peterson and a solid defense. His 2nd year quarterback, Christian Ponder, is managing the game with a high football IQ, and guiding a short passing attack with his 2nd ranked completion percentage (69%).

Frazier's Vikings impressively knocked off the Titans last week, but it was the week three win against the 49ers that prompted the NFL to take notice.
