Two big storylines for this game, both of which focus on each team's inactives list:

1- Jaff Backus. The long-standing iron man of the Detroit Lions offensive line will miss his first game. Ever. His 186-game streak started back in 2001, and will end today due to a hamstring.

2- Jonathan Joseph. This is a HUGE scratch for the Texans, as Joseph would have been the guy to cover (and have the best shot at holding at bay) WR Calvin Johnson. Better watch out, Wade Phillips.

Settle in with us as we kick off our first of three scheduled NFL games for today. After the Texans - Lions, we've got the Redskins versus Cowboys at 4:25pm ET (FOX), then Patriots versus Jets at 8:20pm ET (NBC).
