Jay Cutler To Start Sunday Against Vikings

Jonathan Daniel

According to a report from Jason LaCanfora, Jay Cutler has passed all his concussion tests and will start on Sunday against the Vikings.

Let's not split hairs - the offense that took the field without Jay Cutler on Monday night was everything short of "effective." We're not entirely sure if Cutler's presence would have changed anything against the Niners, but we won't have to ask the same question on Sunday against the Vikings - according to a report from Jason LaCanfora, the Bears will have their primary signal-caller back for the game.

Certainly good news for the Bears' offense, although they'll again be without Alshon Jeffery after his knee surgery. And Jason Campbell's performance against the Niners might have had something to do with it as well - in Cutler's stead, the veteran backup was 14-22 for 107 yards, a touchdown and two interceptions.

Cutler's probably excited too - his team's 5-1 in the six games he's played against the Vikings, but Cutler's completed 65.4% of his passes with 15 touchdowns to six interceptions and a 100.8 quarterback rating.
