The Philadelphia Eagles do battle with the New Orleans Saints on Monday Night Football.
Not many people would have picked these two teams to have a combined record of 5-9 through the first eight weeks of the NFL season. Yet, here we sit at the midway point with one head coach suspended and his contract voided by the league. The other head coach on the proverbial hot seat. A quarterback who may lose his job due to his propensity to turn the ball over. And a defense that can't seem to keep anyone out of the endzone.
To say that this is a must win game for either team this early in the season is a tad bit cliche. However, five and six losses this year, through nine games, could be incredibly difficult deficit to overcome in the NFC.
Despite all of that, both teams still host a ton of talent, especially on the offensive side of the ball. Could we see some scoring early, and scoring often, in a game that features two desperate teams looking to right their ships?
Enjoy the game, folks!
