no more nfc or afc. just 8 5-team divisions: atlantic: brooklyn, buffalo, new england, new jersey and new york. eastern: baltimore, cleveland, philadelphia, pittsburgh and washington. southern: atlanta, carolina, jacksonville, miami and tampa bay. northern: chicago, detroit, green bay, indianapolis and minnesota. central: cincinnati, kansas city, new orleans, saint louis and tennessee. western: arizona, dallas, houston, oklahoma city and san antonio. mountain: albuquerque, denver, portland, seattle and utah. pacific: anaheim, los angeles, oakland, san diego and san francisco. 8 division winners, seeded 1 thru 8, host 8 wild cards, seeded 9 thru 16, in 16 team playoff system. bears and packers could meet in super bowl, as could any 2 teams. 18 game regular season: home and away vs. each division rival = 8 games. 2 other divisions = 10 games. each team plays entire league every 4 years, home and away every 7 years. 60 man rosters with 50 active per game and 10 man practice squads. every player in league except kickers, punters and long snappers must be inactive for at least 2 games and is limited to 16 games per regular season.
