The Bears suffered another injury to their secondary-- This time it's safety Chris Conte

This season has not been kind to the Chicago Bears when it comes to injuries, with eight players currently sitting on the Injured Reserve list.

Today versus the Arizona Cardinals, safety Chris Conte injured his shoulder breaking up a pass in the end zone, and was taken to the locker room in the 2nd quarter for evaluation. At the beginning of the 3rd quarter, the team annouced Conte would not return.

Of the eight player currently on IR, two of them are safeties-- Brandon Hardin was placed before the season ever started with a neck injury, and Craig Steltz joined him last week with a chest injury.

The only other safety on the active roster is Anthony Walters, who has seen the field this season almost exclusively in special teams situations.

Other players on the Bears IR:

RB Michael Bush, K Robbie Gould, OG Lance Louis, CB Sherrik McManis, OG Nick Pieschel, and DT Matt Toeaina.

Stay tuned for more updates as they are available...
