Team doctors cut the tape off Forte's ankle and evaluated the injury, then retaped it and let him try to walk it off on the sideline. A defensive score by Charles Tillman (pick-6) gave Forte more time to try and loosen up, but with the game clearly in hand, the team made the decision to send Forte to the locker room for the remainder of the game.
Keep in mind that Forte had previously injured his ankle in Week 12, during the Bears' win over the Minnesota Vikings.
The Bears only early offensive success was on the ground with Forte, but luckily, Jay Cutler started heating up right before halftime, connecting with Earl Bennett, Alshon Jeffery, and Brandon Marshall along the way.
The injuries are piling up for Chicago, who is fighting for a playoff birth. Stay tuned...
