They're cover men

Typically it’s one or the other that CBs excel at.

Unless you're Tillman and Jennings then you're pretty darn good at both

They’re so underrated as a CB tandem. They only allowed 1 coverage TD last year.

Just curious

Who allowed the most TDs on the Bears? Bowman?

Hmm i believe so

Which is pretty bad because he barely played

People really underrated Jennings. I couldn’t stand him last year, but after this year I really think he has, or should have, clinched his spot opposite Tillman

As far as DJ Moore goes, he’s a beast and is the best nickle Bears have had since Ricky Manning Jr

Competition should still be added vs. Tim Jennings

He didn’t give up TDs, but he certainly gave up huge chunks of yardage at times. Everyone gets beat from time-to-time, but he got burned a little too much IMO to say he’s clinched his spot.

intresting, who would rate our guys better than Philly's?

Dominique Rodgers-Cromartie, Nnamdi Asomugha, and Asante Samuel = 27 passing TD’s

our guys = 22 passing TD’s

must be the shoes.

Wow thoughts are with Tommis Harris and his family

Yikes, 29 is way, way too young. That’s tough to handle at any age.

...because Cutty does it.

by Sam Householder on Feb 13, 2012 7:30 AM CST reply actions

Cutler 2 Wayne = 6?

That kind of makes a guy drool when you think about it. If he could still put up almost a thousand yards with the crapshoot Indy had at QB this season, I would imagine he can put up something close to his old numbers he had under Peyton while playing here with Cutler tossing the ball. Given he wouldn’t be a particularly long term fix, but it would keep us from having to rely on throwing a WR draft pick in as the #1 right out of the gate..or gamble on a couple of the other available WRs.

by Pretender85 on Feb 13, 2012 7:50 AM CST reply actions

Yeah I'm beginning to feel that the Bears won't get any of the young studs at WR.

But there’s nothing wrong with Wayne asides from age but he still produces. He nearly had a 1000 yards with 2 Hanian-type QB’s, which is to say awful QB’s throwing him the ball. If the Bears get him and either a receiver in the 1st or 2nd then that’d be a good receiving corps. Wayne and/or Floyd, Sanu, Jones or Criner in the 1st and 2nd respectively, sounds pretty good to me.

I could see them going

Wayne and possibly Meachem, Manningham, or Royal. Which would not upset me.

most of the most sought after WR's will never actully hit the open market

and the competition for whats left will be intense. And there are other considerations, I don’t recall ever reading about people in Flordia or Phoenix retiring and moving to Chicago.

Chipotle commercial

was pretty good. Message was “free-range” animals. Willie Nelson singing Coldplay was a bit strange though.

I think this is the year that the Bears finally address LB with a high pick or bring in a potential free-agent replacement for Lach. Conner from Carolina would be a good stop-gap at the SAM.

Everybody remembers who Mike Tice's #1 WR was while he was with the Vikes right?

Well Randy Moss will now unretire and be a FA this year. I don’t want him, at all, but I predict the media will consistently link the Bears to Randy Moss, so…

Any knowledgeable football mind would agree with you

Randy Moss makes zero sense for the Chicago Bears on the gridiron. It will only make sense as a storyline. I pray Mike Tice doesn’t transform into Mike Martz and beg for Randy Moss.

You didn't get it

Turn into Mike Martz as in beg for a washed up WR, like what Martz did with Jerry when he asked (and received) Roy E. Williams.

The funny thing about the Anthony Adams article

is that he will most likely be one of the first ones cut by Emery.

by Jim Ribs on Feb 13, 2012 10:49 AM CST reply actions

I get that feeling too...

I like Adams and, by all accounts, he’s a great guy and team leader, but he’s just not much more than an average NT who can be in a rotation, but he’s not a star. Thus, he’s likely to be let go. Irony is so ironic!

There's a fine line between stupid...and clever!
