Randy Moss to the Bears!?
If you haven't heard already, Randy Moss is coming out of retirement! Should the Bears pick him up?
I think he would be cheaper because of his age, and then we would have a beast of a number one receiver without having to pay as much for someone like Dwayne Bowe or Vincent Jackson (who may not even hit free agency in the first place). We could use the money we save to get another big name in free agency like Cliff Avril or Cortland Finnegan (or both!). And if you're worried about how much longer until Randy Moss retires again, we can still draft Floyd for the future. What do you think?

No. In football years
Randy Moss is 127.
Above all; keep 'em guessing, never let them lose their sense of confusion.
Yes but in football years
your life expectancy is around 145. You effective play on the field is the only thing that increases exponentially. 1 year of football=10 years wear and tear on a “normal” body. I’m formulating a formula and stuff….

Does each position vary in "football years"?
Obviously a wide receiver would last long than a running back, so do RB’s age faster or something?

Absolutely not
He’s 35, got a piss poor attitude, constantly gets into various forms of trouble, is selfish, and above all, he ain’t that good anymore. That guy is the original Prima Dona WR. So thanks, but like Frenchy said above HELL NO.

I'd agree to take a look at Moss
If he agrees to the following in writing before any deal is reached:
1) No plugging Bill Belichek during press conferences.
2) No day dreaming about the Patriots during press conferences.
3) No attacking the service staff during after-practice, catered, team lunches.
4) He agrees to play 100% all the time and not take plays off.
5) He agrees not to openly admit when and if he does take plays off.
Maybe we could
Figure out a way to keep him off camera and have his lunch served to him alone, in his room.
In the cell next to T.O?

Beast of a #1 receiver?
Yea, maybe a few years ago, but as Just Dave mentioned above, he’s like 100 in football years. He hasn’t played for a year, and given his past off-field (and on-field as well) issues, I wouldn’t even spend a penny. I mean c’mon, even when he was signed by Tennessee for six weeks, he received only four, FOUR targets, and only caught one for ten yards. The time has come to hang ’em up my friend…

No.
No. No. No.
He’s a cancer. He has been most of his career. Only BillyB’s insanity could control him. I do not want him anywhere NEAR our guys. Hopefully a continent away.
How can I say this...
NOPE NOPE NOPE NOPE NOPE NOPE NOPE NOPE NOPE NOPE NOPE NOPE
He was a mildly interesting player when he hit the free agency after leaving the Patriots, right now, he’s just a huge, 35-year old piece of luggage. He might have a couple of plays left, but for that, we already have Roy Williams.
Every year
Every freaking year

I don't know guys, there seems to be an almost unanimous "NO!" here, but
he has a history with Tice, and he wouldn’t come back unless he had something to prove. I don’t see him coming back to the NFL, knowing it will be for less money, to not go 100 percent. I think he wants a ring. If he’s cheap enough, I think we should give it a shot.
You know who else has a history with Tice?
Bryant Mckinnie, Daunte Culpepper, and Michael Bennet
you think we should go grab them too?

Which is why he supplanted Michael Oher for LT on the Ravens.
McKinnie is a stud when he wants to be, and I think Tice could actually kick some fire into the guy.
Not in this lifetime, guy is a cancer and belongs in prison
In case your on the fence on this guy go google for the incident in MN during the team meal where he verbally assaulted the owners of the restaurant providing the FREE team meal. Apparantly the rant went on for over 15 minutes when he referred to the cusine as dog food etc, this piece of garbage can go to hell.

No Moss No Moss
Don’t need a moody guy like Moss…He’s not a role model for the receiver position or even as a professional. Does not inspire people in terms of playing with passion or love of the game itself. Da Bears aren’t this desperate…moving on.
All I know, is the Bears have got to make a BIG splash for a true #1 WR in FA

if its the best the Bears can do...
then go for it with restrictions, IF he can still catch a ball.
we need ball catchers, no doubt about it. but we’ve needed them for a long time. its becoming a joke.
but seriously… i would hope that the Bears will do better someday.

I don't think Emery
would pick up Moss when this free agency period and draft defines the beginning of his career as a General Manager. I think it’s too much of an unsure thing, given Randy’s history, for him to gamble on in his first year.

Right but Wrong
I understand your agruements, but the fact of the matter is, the way moss is, he doesnt well if the team doesnt have a good qb and is contending for the superbowl. The bears have both of those. Plus, Mike tice worked with him in the passed. iDK about you guys but Randy moss would be better than any WR on the bears now. So stop clownin on the guym there is a reason he wants to come back.
