Very touching story by Doug Farrar
Can really recommend to give it a read.
"Brian Urlacher, coasting down the right sideline. A Sunday stroll into the endzone."
That was a tear jerker
but a necessary read indeed.

Last night on NFLN
Heath Evans said he had been texting Moss and asked him what his 40 would be right now
Moss promptly answered 4.35 – 4.38
If he runs that kind of 40 I wouldn’t have a problem giving him a chance for a 1 year league minimum contract

There is no way that is possible
Randy Moss looked slower than a snail when he last played in 2010. He’s had a year off, but I sincerely doubt he’s anywhere close to that in terms of speed.

He is still better
than every receiver we have. I don’t want him either, but let’s not go acting like we have a bounty of talent at WR.
2 teams in chicago...
anyone on here old enough to remember Chicago having 2 teams and what it was like…I wouldn’t be a fan of the new team, but….if they had a nice shiny stadium capable of hosting stuff year round, that would be amazing

There are a couple of us who remember the Chicago Cardinals...
I wouldn’t mind seeing a second team here if it would push the McCaskey’s to be better owners. I could be a fan of a second team, probably never as much a fan as I am of the Bears but it would be nice to have a rooting interest in another team when the Bears are mired in another 0-20 year Super Bowl slump.
Feels weird to say that because I’m a die-hard Cub fan and hate the White Sox, but now that I’m older and have had a chance to understand the futility that comes with being a Chicago sports fan, I’d welcome a well-owned new addition.
it would be like the Texans are to Texas
No one is really a die-hard Texans fans, but if you live close to the stadium, hell why not go see a game

exactly
and we have the market for it so the younger generation of fans could, conceivably, become bigger fans of the second team than they are the Bears if that other team realized any sustained success.
Moss
I wouldn’t mind the Bears signing him to a one year deal if they’re unable to sign one of the top FA WRs. Ultimately, he’s not really a good fit anywhere in the NFL. I can see him going back to NE.

Moss, no, we need reliable threat, to relieve Cutler from being dropped every other snap. Again, we all hope the FO will do a better job than they have in the past, draft talent and resupply on FA market.

Really hope we get a FA wideout and draft one
Then we can quit being speculated to have interest in every washed up, broken, straight out of jail, underperforming WR in or out of the NFL.
by TheMan1 on Feb 14, 2012 10:16 AM CST via mobile reply actions
I also hope we get a FA WR and draft one in the first or second round.
Still wouldn’t mind seeing us bring in Moss for a workout, at the very least.
WILDCARD BITCHES!!! YEEEEHHHAAAAA!!!!!
I agree with Chris Carter .....
…. with Moss it ain’t about his on field abilities its about his propensity to just quit on a team at any given moment . Thats why I’ve said all along we need to pass on Moss , hes a quitter .

and a despicable human being to boot
Guy is a piece of trash plain and simple, on and off the field he has distinguished himself over and over again. Not to mention his actual football skills were slipping and BB saw this and cut bait. Lets not make Moss Merriweather 2.0.
White Sox fans need not apply.

No thanks on Randy Moss
unless he’s the only FA WR available and he’s signed to a cheap one-year deal AND we draft a WR in the 1st round. Otherwise, no.

From the SI article
Williams has been remarkably consistent at being mediocre over the past four seasons. His catch totals since 2008: 36, 38, 37, 37.
Heh.
When I assume, I'm not "making an ass out of u and me"... I'm actually putting u between me and an ass.
That is a hell of a lot of sacks according to Wright
Sacks per game dropped for quarterback Jay Cutler to an average of 3.25, from 13.65 in 2010.
