Sleeper pick 1.0

In every draft you always have a group of players who somehow get looked over as high round talent. There always seems to be a few players in every round that come out and fight for a starting job right away. My idea with this post is to bring some attention to a few potential players who might get the nod from day one.

This weeks sleeper is Audie Cole.

LB-NC State 6'4 248 Runs around 4.7- 4.8 40 YD / Projected 3-4 round pick.

2011 Stats - 108 Tackles, 13 1/2 Tackle for loss, 5 1/2 Sacks, Forced 4 fumbles, Broke up 4 passes.

Although his 40 time is a bit high, Reports all seem to agree that Audie is still a very mobile LB. From watching him play in the Senior Bowl, He showed the ability to read plays very well. He had 4 tackles on the game but seemed to be all over the ball wherever it was on the field. While its obviously too hard to judge who the Bears will target and in what round, I hope they keep their eye on Cole. I think He could fight Roach for the starting job and eventually move over to replace Urlacher when that time comes.

http://youtu.be/OA3j41bQfk8 This highlight video shows that he is a tackling machine, He seems to have issues shedding blocks sometimes, but the majority of the time he seems to find his way to the ball. Prime example would be at the 3:40 second mark. He reads the play well and stuffs the running back on a 4th and 1. Let me know what you think of this guy. I wouldnt mind the Bears taking him with our second 3rd rounder or the 4th.
