My mock draft bears only.

Well I finished my mock draft last night. I went Four rounds and i think it could satisfy some people. And without Further a do here it goes.

Round 1.- Jonathan Martian-OT Stanford.

Round 2- Rueben Randall-WR LSU

Round 3(9)-Brian Quick-WR Appalachian State

Round 3(16)-Stephon Gilmore-CB South Carolina

Round 4(16)-Ladarius Green-TE, Louisiana-Lafayette

This is also a pre Combine mock draft and studying as many prospects as i can perday. I'd also like to thank SMD for giving me a few people to look at also.

I would actually be fairly satisfied with that...

No, its not Floyd or Reiff or other big names, but the draft you just did would be a very solid first 3 rounds.

If that's how our draft broke down...

…I don’t think anyone can complain. I think all those guys would have to fall a bit, though, for that to play out that way.

True i think with Adams on the rise for some

Martin hopefully will fall and i don’t trust Webb at all. I would’ve have like to have the center from Wisconsin to the bears. I think Randell is a beast as he destroyed Auburn this past season i believe. I think if the right WR’s fall in the different places we might snag 2-3 if possible.

Agree on not trusting Webb.

Konz is the OC out of Wisconsin. He’d be a nice pick for us, except I see bigger needs and someone with more talent at a need position will fall to us.

I really think Randle is going to move into the 1st round discussion after the combine. I think he’s gone now by mid-2nd and rising. You never know, though.

A key, as you pointed out, is round 2-3 WR depth. We should be able to get an upgrade in those rounds for certain to hopefully pair with an elite WR FA.

yeah i think y he slipped was because of the qb play.

i thought of him as a 3rd last year but he has everything to be a good WR in the league. One guy I’ve found intriguing as of late is Stephen Hill of Georgia Tech.

Yeah he's another guy people are starting to talk about.

Luckily there’s depth at CB and WR, two positions we need, and there are a couple possible 2nd-4th picks at LB and TE that could help too. I think the depth of this draft helps us at most positions of need which is great.

Areas that look weaker (RB, DT) aren’t really big needs for us.

true , and i'd a front 4

image Tank Johnson and Tommie Harris(healthy) With a Peppers and a Mario Williams (if we got him in FA) and from what i saw for Hill he seems like he could be beast the last 2 GT receivers Calvin Johnson and Thomas.

I really like the doubling up of WR picks with

Randle and Quick.

With Randle you get the big jump ball possession guy and with Quick you get your over the middle, fast DB beater.

thanx smd

I just watched some Randell highlights. I wish i could find some Stephen Hill ones. I just see the one handed catch against UNC. Though i can see adding a 3rd WR through the draft. What could it hurt.

Maybe Gilmore, Mayyyyybe

3rd round I could live possibly with. However living in Columbia, I have been able to watch this guy every game. He certainly has the capability of the big play, but also gets beat continuously. There have been multiple times when I yell “Dammit Gilmore!” I don’t want that phrase to continue to my watching of Bear’s games, I swear enough as is. It’s hard to say who I would take instead being that it’s only Bears drafted, but beware of Gilmore.

true and livingin Fayetteville and Columbia i've seen a few games

i’ve heard that he is a good fit for Cover-2 type style that we run.

is Jayron Hosley available still?

In your mock at this pick? I think they’re similar, but I like a Bud Foster bred defenseman. Though I love my Gamecocks. Still want to see Alshon on the Bears.

..Pretty nice--

-But, I don’t see Martin lasting until 19. OT’s are gonna fly off the board. It all depends on free-agency. In order of likelyhood-I see: Colston, VJax and Bowe at WR—Pitt HAS to tag Wallace..NE Has to tag Welker. If the Bears go after a pass-rusher—I hope it’s Mario. Avril will be a overpriced mini-upgrade. Then—sign Kyle Orton. From that—to the draft…I’d Konz from Wisc at 19…

Konz is a huge reach at 19
