A nice little write up from PFF. The numbers say it all.

How dare Jay Cutler be rated better than Big Ben!

I was shocked to see he wasn't at the top in number of dropbacks pressured.
Did anyone see a percentage of total dropbacks pressured on there? I have to think he’d rank pretty high in that category.
That's only 10 games worth compared to 16

Wow
That list validated everything I ever thought about Jay Cutler (Perhaps the most underrated elite QB in the league) and everything I ever thought about Joe Flacco (Worst pocket presence of any presumed good QB in the league)
Hey Rose. I don't see the appeal!
most of this
has to do with “public” opinion. Mike Mayock started waxing poetic about Cutler, and the Thursday night game againt Detroit when Jaws/Gruden really went on about how awesome Cutler is, he got a lot of “good” press. so that helped/
mostly whatever analysts say during the game, the public believes at lagre, and it seems to me Buck/Aikman Ian/Fouts LOATHE Cutler, and LOVE Flacco.

But if somebody on TV says it then it must be true
Right?……..

After having someone in your face on every snap you just get used to it and everything becomes second nature

yeah but he is still not an elite QB regardless of what the facts say

I don't see anybody trying to argue that
The purpose ofvthis article was not to make a case for anyone being an elite QB, but was to simply show how each starting QB in the NFL handled pressure from the defense.

and my point was
no matter how many positive things there are about Cutler, there will be those who think he is not elite

Honestly though....
I think Martz unknowingly taught Jay better pocket presence. After a while Jay gave up standing in the pocket and getting destroyed. From that point on learned how to avoid sacks like a Bangkok prostitute!
But seriously I noticed Jay started playing better not only when Martz changed up the playcalling but when Jay started doing what he does best and that’s moving around in the pocket and using his athleticism to make plays.
