New Bears' general manager Phil Emery will have about an extra $1.9 million in cap room to work with next season. Anthony Adams has said that the Bears informed him of his impending release, the first player transaction of Emery's regime.
Adams was held inactive in five games this past season, the most times he's been inactive since 2008, and dealt with nagging injuries all season.
In his final season in Chicago, he racked up 17 tackles, 8 quarterback pressures, and no sacks, the first time he's been held sackless since 2008.
