Caleb Hanie Agrees to Terms on Two-Year Deal with the Denver Broncos

Two years ago, Caleb Hanie was the third-string quarterback that came into the NFC Championship Game for an injured Jay Cutler and a bad Todd Collins. Last year, he was an oftentimes ineffective backup benched after four starts in relief of an injured Jay Cutler.

Now, he's agreed to be a backup quarterback to Peyton Manning and the Denver Broncos for the next two seasons.

It doesn't seem likely Hanie will be the only guy the Broncos sign to back up Manning, given his performance last season and the uncertainty that still surrounds Manning - how will his neck react when he finally steps on the field and gets hit, hard?

But on the flip side, there might be no better quarterback to learn from than Manning.
