So all of us hardcore Bears fans have probably wasted at least a few hours or so throughout the week looking for hidden prospects in the upcoming draft.
Well maybe not you guys, but I know I have
This week I came across somone really interesting. I just happened to be on draft blog and saw someone mention the name Miles Burris as a good fit for Baltimore at linebacker. So I decided to check out some more information on Mr. Burris because lets face it, I can think of one other team out there who needs to replace an all pro linebacker soon.
Oh, so you say its the Bears huh? I was thinking the same thing. Miles Burris (for those of you that dont know about him) is a OLB out of San Diego State University sitting at 6'2 - 245lbs. He runs around 4.6 - 4.7 40 yard dash and he pushed up 225lbs 31 times and has a 37" vertical. To some, those numbers might look average. But if you get a chance to watch this guys game tape you will understand why he would be considered a steal in rounds 4-7.
In my opinion, The Bears would be in a prime position to use a late pick on a guy like Burris. He could easily fight for a spot with Roach and probably learn a few things from Lach and Briggs. Burris gets my vote, how about yours?
Oh, and for an actual highlight video that is impressive, watch this one. http://youtu.be/RtlONCH8jPA
(the first few minutes he's rushing the qb and then later on he starts dropping back in coverage.) Enjoy!
