The Next Monster of The Midway at pick 19: Nick Perry

If you are looking for the Next Monster on our Defense this is your guy. I think if Floyd and Dre Kirkpatrick are gone and we take a defensive end this is your guy. And i think you should be really happy with this pick. Those of you looking for the next Freak of Nature, the next Pepper, this is your man. He is just a couple inches shorter. Perry is from Detroit so he will fit right in with our weather. Perry is coming from a USC that is known for creating Dominant Defenders and he is there next creation, or maybe they just got lucky that he didnt go to Michigan as he originally planned to.

Lovie and Marinelli love explosive people on the front line. They like speed and get-off at the snap. They want an End thats gonna display speed to the quarterback, long arms to create turnover, and the Power to Crush opposition. Nick Perry is your guy. Usually before the combine guys are trying to lean up so they can get good 40's, this guy put on 20 pounds after the season to prepare for his Rookie year and show that he was capable of getting bigger. He played last year at 250. He weighed in at the combine at 271. No he is not Alshon Jeffrey, this guy knows what he is doing when it comes to the weight room. If you are looking for your combine Freak this is your guy. One could only imagine what his combine times wouldve been if he had remained 250.

Perry hit 35 reps of 225 at the combine. Only 6 other prospects did better. You will not be blowing him off the line anytime soon. Perry's vertical was an amazing 38.5. Only 10 other prospects did better than that, and we know most of them were at a skilled position. He is not only Powerful in the upperbody but he is power in the legs, and he jumped that weighing 271. That type of measurable is Freakish. Last but not least Nick Pery's broad jump was a 10'4. Only 15 people at the draft did better than that. Not only is this guy powerful, he is fast. He ran a 4.5 at his pro day. I feel sorry for an opposing quarterback having to face this Freak at 6'3 271 pounds with his amazing get off coming directly at them with his 4.5 speed. If you dont know who Perry's defensive coordinator was last year it was Monte Kiffen, the supposed creator of the Tampa 2. Hmm, sounds like he is ready to start day one. If you didnt know Rd Marinelli ran his defensive drills at his pro day. Hmm, sounds like somebody said i gotta go see this guy. We also brought him in for a private visit. Sounds like somebody might have been asking how would you feel if we brought you in with the 19 pick of the draft. Might i add Injury free year, so no yellow or red flags. This guy ran a Bruce Irvin 40 yard dash. He jumped a Stephen Hill type of vertical jump. He man handled 225 Mike Martin-like.

This guy will be an everydown End for us. Not just passing downs, all downs. I think he will be a day one starter and Izzy will be the 3rd end coming off the bench. This is the guy you want. This is the next Monster of the Midway.

Here is a film of Nick Perry vs Johnathon Martin (3rd ranked tackle in the draft)(The guy some want over Webb)
