The Windy City Gridiron Member Mock Draft is over! Thanks to all those that made the picks, and thanks to all those that volunteered to be back up drafters. We think this went about as smooth as can be expected, and who knows, maybe next year we'll incorporate trades. So next up is awfullyquiet, finishing up strong...
With the 32nd pick in the WCG Mock Draft, the New York Football Giants select...
AwfullyQuiet: The past year hasn't been really kind to the New York Giants offensive line, while they can seem to plug and play talented, well brought up linemen year in year out, it comes at the price of investing talent and developing players. At this point in the draft, there's no offensive lineman who's got more upside and flexibility as Mike Adams, while inconsistent against Speed Rushers (like Ryan Kerrigan of the Redskins comes to mind), he has all the athletic upside to make it properly in the pros. The Giants haven't been one to shy away from BPA at any given time, but because of the Giants troubles pounding the football like they're used to (Eli Manning threw for 5000 yards last year, didn't make headlines, but THAT happened), and the lack of available top round RB talent in the first round, this will give Ahmad Bradshaw a bit more space to make it into the second level. He's a developmental prospect, no doubt, but able to start at RT Day 1, and with more finessing, technique, and a quarterback who's NOT named Terrelle Pryor or Braxton Miller, I think playing Left Tackle isn't out of the question after a few years.
