Bad start for AJ Jenkins

From Fellow SBNation site:

Matt Barrows of the Sacramento Bee reported that many of the rookies participating in the 49ers minicamp on Friday were slowing down by mid-session, including first-round pick wide receiver A.J. Jenkins. Barrows said that head coach Jim Harbaugh "definitely wasn't impressed" by this lack of stamina.

The Niners selected Jenkins as their first pick in the 2012 NFL Draft last month and are definitely hoping he can become a cornerstone of their franchise for years to come. His getting started on a down note will certainly not endear him to the higher-ups within the organization -- particularly his new coach.

Many of us here at WCG had debated who we should grab with Blackmon off the board. Jenkins was one of the players that was brought up as a potential rookie starter, about as much as Alshon Jeffery. I think we can all be satisfied right now that the 49ers rolled the dice on Jenkins, and we got Jeffery in the second.

Pretty in auspicious way to start your NFL career. Hope the kid's in prime shape come OTA's with vets, since every vet's eyes will be on him. I'd hit the weight room before the strength coach could get his hands on me.
